'i,;c?;r• WHEREAS, the City of Clearwater has several of its operating
departments which are required to work together on projects such as site

y, i.4.patas planning, capital improvements and land acquisition; and

" WHEREAS, it is necessary that the affected departments acquire the
techniques and skills needed to function as project management teams and
such training will be built around actual work projects ; and
.?'? std' 4a?'• ; WHEREAS, such approach will ensure the immediate implementation
?<<:? of the team management concepts included in the training and will be used to
continue the training on an internal basis in the future;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
IN SESSION DULY AND REGULARLY ASSEMBLED, AS
A L.
` . -. FOLLOWS:
1. That the City Commission hereby authorizes the Department of
Personnel of the City of Clearwater, Florida, to file an application with the
State of Florida Department of Administration for an Intergovernmental
Personnel Act training grant for team management development,
2. That Anthony L. Shoemaker, City Manager, of the City of Clearwater,
is hereby authorized to function as the official representative of the City for
this grant and he is authorized to provide proper assurances and understandings
such as will permit the completion of the project.
3. That a certified copy of this Resolution shall accompany such
application and shall be forwarded to the State of Florida Department of Personnel.
