'?A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ASSISTANT FINANCE DIRECTOR
AND DEPUTY CITY TREASURER TO EXECUTE BY FACSIMILE SIGNATURE
ANY AND ALL CHECKS DRAWN BY THE CITY OF CLEARWATER ON CITY L

a v•;ti,a' WHEREAS, it is expedient to sign checks issued by the City by facsimile
signature and mechanical check signing equipment, and
WHEREAS, David H. Curtis was designated Deputy City Treasurer on May 20,
1976, by the City Commission, Resolution 76-57, and
WHEREAS, the Deputy City Treasurer is authorized by the City Charter to
sign checks issued by the City, and
WHEREAS, the City has now acquired a signature die with the facsimile
signature of David H. Curtis for use pending such time as a signature die can
be obtained for a new City Treasurer, and "
?3?`•,;.'., WHEREAS, it is appropriate to advise local banks that the facsimile
signature of David H. Curtis is authorized for such use,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
t+:zr OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA, IN SESSION DULY
AND REGULARLY ASSEMBLED, AS FOLLOWS:
"f 1. That the City Commission of the City of Clearwater hereby officially
authorizes David H. Curtis, Assistant Finance Director and Deputy City Treasurer,
to execute by facsimile signature any and all checks drawn by the City of
Clearwater in any bank where such account or accounts are maintained, until
such time as a new City Treasurer is appointed and appropriate facsimile
signature equipment obtained,
2. That a certified copy of this Resolution be forwarded forthwith to
the various Banks of the area where accounts of the City of Clearwater are maintained
and said copy shall be the official authorization of the City of Clearwater to
such Bank to accept checks bearing either the manual, signature or the mechanically
affixed facsimile signature of the said Assistant Finance Director and Deputy
