RESOLUTION
,No. 78 - 46,
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF CLEARWATER SUPPORTING DESIGNATION
OF THE PINELLAS COUNTY METROPOLITAN PLANNING
ORGANIZATION AS THE LEAD PLANNING AGENCY.
WHEREAS, the Governor has designated the Pinellas County
Metropolitan Planning Organization as the Lead Planning Agency responsible
for preparing a non-attainment plan relating to air quality in Pinellas County,
and
WHEREAS, the Governor has requested a Resolution for Support
for such designation from each of the local governments represented on
the Metropolitan Planning Organization,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
IN SESSION DULY AND REGULARLY ASSEMBLED, AS
FOLLOWS:
1. That the City of Clearwater hereby support the designation of
Pinellas County Planning Organization as the Lead Planning Agency
responsible for the preparation of a non-attainment plan for Pinellas
County relating to air quality;
2. That this Resolution shall become effective immediately upon
its adoption.
3. That a certified copy of this Resolution be forwarded forthwith
to the Metropolitan Planning Organization.
