A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF'•CLEARWATER AUTHORIZING EXECUTION
OF A RAILROAD REIMBURSEMENT AGREEMENT AND
ADDENDUM TO SUCH AGREEMENT WITH THE
FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION.
WHEREAS, the City of Clearwater has been informed that the
Florida Department of Transportation is ready to proceed with railroad
signalization on Project No. 15000-6916 between SR-S-595 and SR-595
(Pierce Street); and
WHEREAS, the State of Florida Department of Transportation is
constructing, reconstructing or otherwise changing a portion of the State
Highway System, between SR-S-595 and SR-595, which shall call for the
installation and maintenance of railroad crossing protective devices for
railroad grade crossings over or near said highway;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
IN SESSION DULY AND REGULARLY ASSEMBLED, AS
FOLLOWS:
1. That the City of Clearwater is hereby authorized to enter into
a Railroad Reimbursement Agreement and Addendum to such Agreement
with the State of Florida Department of Transportation and the Seaboard
Coast Line Railroad Company for the installation and maintenance of certain
grade crossing protective devices designated as Job No. 15000-6916 on
Pierce Street which crosses the right-of-way and tracks of the Company at
a point 3,696 feet South from the Company's Mile Post SY-874, at or near
Clearwater, Florida.
2. That the City of Clearwater hereby agrees to assume its share
of the costs for future maintenance and adjustment of the grade crossing
protective devices as designated in the Addendum to the Railroad
Reimbursement Agreement.

3. That the appropriate officials of the City are hereby authorised
to execute and deliver such agreements with the State of Florida Department
of Transportation and the Seaboard Coast Line Railroad Company as are,
described herein.
4. That this Resolution shall take effect immediately upon
adoption.
