No. 78 - 10
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF CLEAR,WATER CLARIFYING ITS INTENTION WITH
RED PECT TO THE USE TO BE MADE OF THE ISLAND
ESTATES WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT.
WHEREAS, the City of Clearwater is proceeding to discontinue the
use presently being made of the Island Estates Wastewater Treatment Plant;
and
WHEREAS, the City of Clearwater anticipates that the facility will be
available for other use on or about July 1, 1978; and
WHEREAS, it is felt that the facility can best serve the public through
its use as a Marine Science Center; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission on behalf of the City of Clearwater
wishes to reconfirm its intention of turning over use of the facility to
the Clearwater Marine Science Center;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
IN SESSION DULY AND REGULARLY ASSEMBLED, AS
FOLLOWS:
That the City Commission of the City of Clearwater hereby reaffirms
its intention to make the Island Estates Wastewater Treatment Plant available
for use by Clearwater Marine Science Center as a marine science center when
the facility becomes available for such use on or about July 1, 1978, or within
a reasonable time thereafter.
