R E S 0 L U T 1 0 N No. 78 - 8 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE OFFICE OF CITY ATTORNEY TO OBTAIN COMPLIANCE WITH THE MOBILE HOME CODE RELATING TO RECREATIONAL VEHICLES THROUGH BRINGING CIVIL ACTION TO REQUIRE COMPLIANCE WITH THE CODE BY ALL MOBILE HOME PARKS. WHEREAS, complaints have boon received indicating that recreational vehicles and travel trailer vehicles arc being interspersed on lots along with permanent mobile homes in mobile home parks; and WHEREAS, the current code of ordinances provides that travel trailers and recreational vehicles may be located only in a designated area of a mobile home park as part of a special exception; and WHEREAS, the problem in question exists in more than one mobile home park; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA, IN SESSION DULY AND REGULARLY ASSEMBLED, AS FOLLOWS: That the office of City Attorney is hereby authorized to first notify the involved mobile home parks to cease such activity until such time as a special exception is obtained and upon failure of the mobile home park or parks to comply, the office of City Attorney is authorized to bring a civil action to obtain compliance with the code.
