A RESOLUTION ENDORSING PROPOSED LEGISLATION
RELATING TO FISCAL NOTES BEING REQUIRED ON
CERTAIN BILLS PRESENTED FOR PASSAGE BY 'THE
FLORIDA LEGISLATURE,
WHEREAS, Dorothy Eaton Sample, State Representative, is proposing
for the next session of the Florida Legislature certain legislation relating to
fiscal notes being required on all general bills affecting revenues, expenditures
or fiscal liability which are reported favorably by the Appropriations or
Finance and Tax Committee of the Senate and House of Representatives; and
WHEREAS, a fiscal note attached to each proposal when it reaches
the floor will tend to make the Legislature more aware of the financial
impact; and
WHEREAS, the City of Clearwater desires to endorse the presentation
of such a bill;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
IN SESSION DULY AND REGULARLY ASSEMBLED, AS
FOLLOWS:
1. That the City of Clearwater, Florida, hereby officially endorses
the presentation of legislation relating to fiscal notes being required on all
general bills affecting revenues, expenditures, or fiscal liability when reported
favorably by the Appropriations or Finance and Tax Committees of the Senate
and House of Representatives.
2. That a certified copy of this Resolution be forwarded forthwith
to Dorothy Eaton Sample, State Representative, 3110 First Avenue North,
St. Petersburg, Florida 33713.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 3rd day of November, A. D. 1977.
