RESOLUTION
No. 77 - 106
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF CLEARWATER DESIGNATING CERTAIN ROADS
WITHIN THE BOUNDARIES OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER
AS SCENIC CORRIDORS.
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Clearwater deems it
to be in the public interest and for the public benefit to prohibit further
commercialization except in areas designated commercial on the Clearwater
Comprehensive Land Use Plan, as amended; and
WHEREAS, further commercialization along certain roads lying
within the boundaries of the City of Clearwater would result in impeded
traffic flow and encourage unsightly conditions; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Clearwater desires
to designate certain roads as scenic corridors;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEAR WATER, FLORIDA,
IN SESSION DULY AND REGULARLY ASSEMBLED, AS
FOLLOWS:
1. That the following roads within the City Limits of the City of
Clearwater, namely, Belcher Road from Belleair Road to Curlew Road;
McMullen-Booth Road from S. R. 60 to Curlew Road; Bayshure Boulevard from
S. R. 60 to the City Limits; Belleair Road from Belcher Road to U. S. 19;
Northeast Coachman Road from Belcher Road to U. S. 19; S. R. 60
(Courtney Campbell Causeway) from McMullen-Booth Road to the East
City Limit Line; Gulf Boulevard as it extends through Sand Key from the
Clearwater Pass Bridge to the South City Limit Line; Edgewater Drive from
Sunset Point Road to the North City Limit Line; Druid Road from South Fort
Harrison Avenue to South City Limit Line; Curlew Road from U. S. 19 to the
East City Limit Line; and Memorial Causeway from the East Bridge to the
West Bridge, are hereby designated as Scenic Corridors.
2. That all commercialization along and abutting the roads so
designated is herebyTprohibited except in areas designated commercial on
the Clearwater Comprehensive Land Use Plan, as amended.
