A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF CLEARWATER EXPRESSING THE
COMMISSION'S SYMPATHY TO THE FAMILY OF
OFFICER RONALD J. MAHONY.
WHEREAS, Officer Ronald J. Mahony, on July 13, 1977, was
killed while performing' his duties as an officer in the Police Department
of the City of Clearwater. Florida; and
WHEREAS, while officer Ronald J. Mahony had only been with the
Police Department for a period of eleven (11) months, he was held in
high esteem by his fellow officers and was considered a bright and up
and coming police officer; and
WHEREAS, Officer Ronald J. Mahony had a great here for the
field of law enforcement; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Clearwater
wishes to express to the family of Ronald J. Mahony its sincere
sympathy for their loss and their appreciation for the service Officer
Ronald J. Msahony performed on behalf of the City of Clearwateri
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMM=ON OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
IN SMSSION DULY AND REGULARLY ASSEMBLED. AS
FOLLOWSs
1. That tho City Commission of the City of Clearwater by this
Resolutlon hereby conveys to the family opt Officer Ronald J. Mahany
its sincere sympathy for the loss that they have suffored.
2. That the City Commission further wishes to express to the
family of Officer Ronald J. Mahony its sincere appreciation for the
service Officer Mahotyr provided oa behalf of the citizens of the City
of Clearwater, Florida.
