RESOLUTION

A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THAT DRAFT NO. 6 OF THE
PINELLAS COUNTY PLANNING COUNCIL LEGISLATION BE
PR -FIRED BY THE LEGISLATIVE DELEGATION.
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Clearwater has been
advised that the Pinellas County Legislative Delegation has under consideration

Draft No. 6 of the proposed Pinellas County Planning Council legislation; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Clearwater would
request that Draft No. 6 of this legislation be pro-filed In order that the entire

matter may be re-considered for passage during the current session of the
Legislature; and
WHEREAS, a need exists in Pinellas County for an agency such as the
Pinellas Planning Council to coordinate the area-wide planning function; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Clearwater wishes to
express Its support for Draft No. 6 of the Pinellas County Planning Council
lesiglatlon;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA, IN SESSION DULY
AND REGULARLY ASSEMBLED, AS FOLLOWS;
1. That the City Commission of the City of Clearwater hereby
expresses its support for Draft No. 6 of the Pinellas County Planning Council
legislation and hereby requests the•Pinellas County Legislative Delegation
to pre-file Draft No. 6 as a Bill.
Z. That the City Commission of the City of Clearwater requests the
Pinellas County Legislative Delegation to hold such hearing or hearings,
following the pre-filing of the Bill, such as will permit consideration of
passage of the BLI1 during this session of the Legislature.
3. That a telegram containing the substance of this Resolution be
forwarded to the Chairman of the Pinellas County Legislative Delegation.
