A RESOLUTION COMMENDING THE BAY AREA DEAF
AND BLIND PARENTS ASSOCIATION FOR THEIR WORK
AND URGING COMMUNITY SUPPORT OF THE X11'
WORLD DEAF OLYMPIC GAMES.
WHEREAS, the Bay Area Deaf and Blind Parents Association has
provided great service in making available the kinds of programs and support
such as would enable the children of such parents to lead productive and
useful lives; and

WHEREAS, the Association is working in support of the XII World
Deaf Olympic Games to be held in Bucharest, Romania on July 16 through
x 26th, 1977; and
WHEREAS, the United States will have a contigent at these games; and
WHEREAS, several Bay Area Youth are in a good position to be a part
' of this contingent; and
WHEREAS, the work and efforts of this Association are most worthwhile
and provide a much needed benefit to the youth; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Clearwater wishes
to commend this Association for all of its efforts and wishes to urge community
support of the present Association project, the XII World Deaf Olympic Games
and Bay Area Youth competing to be a part of such games;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
IN SESSION DULY AND REGULARLY ASSEMBLED, AS
FOLLOWS:
1. That the City Commission of the City of Clearwater, Florida,
wishes by this Resolution to recognize and commend the efforts and most
worthwhile service being performed by the Bay Area Deaf and Blind Parents
Association. The service and efforts of this Association provide a vehicle

whereby the blind and deaf youth of the Bay Area may•aesumo roles as
productive citizens of this area.

Z. That the City Commission of the City of Clearwater, Florida,
wishes to urge that all citizens of the City of Clearwater support this
Association in their project directed at sending Bay Area Youths to the
X1I World Deaf Olympic Games as participants.
3. That a copy of this Resolution be forwarded forthwith to the
Bay Area Deaf and Blind Parents Association.
