A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY ATTORNEY
TO DEFEND GABRIEL CAZARES, MAYOR-COMMISSIONER,
IN THE CASE OF CHURCH OF SCIENTOLOGY OF CALIFORNIA,
VS. GABRIEL CAZARES, CIRCUIT CIVIL NO. 76-1 1711- 16.
WHEREAS, the Mayor-Commissioner, Gabriel Cazares, has been
sued in the case of Church of Scientology of California vs. Gabriel Cazares,
Circuit Civil No. 76-11711-16; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 31 of the Charter of the City of
Clearwater, the City Attorney must have authorization to enter into the
defense of this litigation;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
IN SESSION DULY AND REGULARLY ASSEMBLED, AS
FOLLOWS:
That the City Attorney is hereby authorized to take any and all steps
necessary.to defend Gabriel Cazares, Mayor-Commissioner, in the case of
Church of Scientology of California vs. Gabriel Cazares, Circuit Civil
No. 76-11711-16.
