A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY ATTORNEY'S
OFFICE TO DEFEND THE CITY OF CLEARWATER IN
THE CASE OF GERALD WEIMER, ET AL VS. CIVIL
SERVICE BOARD, CITY OF CLEARWATER, CIRCUIT
CIVIL NO. 76_10712-7.
WHEREAS, the City of Clearwater has been sued in the case of
Gerald Weimer, Assistant City Manager, and E. J. Robinson and Edmund
Dillon, Administrative Assistants to the City Manager, Complainants, vs.
Civil Service Board, City of Clearwater, Respondents, Circuit Civil
No. 76..10713••7; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 31 of the Charter c.f the City of
Clearwater, the Legal Department must have authorization to enter into
the defense of this litigation;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
IN SESSION DULY AND REGULARLY ASSEMBLED, AS
FOLLOWS:
That the City Attorney's Office is hereby authorized to take any and
all steps necessary to defend the City of Clearwater in the case of Gerald
Weimer, Assistant City Manager, and E. J. Robinson and Edmund Dillon,
Administrative Assistants to the City Manager, Complainants, vs. Civil
Service Board, City of Clearwater, Respondents, Circuit Civil No.
76..10713-7.
