A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER
TO EXECUTE ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF CLEAR-
WATER ARTICLES OF INCORPORATION OF A NON.
PROFIT CORPORATION ORGANIZED FOR THE PURPOSE
OF FORWARDING THE INTERESTS OF ALL THE CITIES
IN PINELLAS COUNTY.
WHEREAS, Pinellas County is fragmented into twenty.-four separate
Cities which have many mutual interests; and
WHEREAS, The maxim that in unity there is strength is particularly
true in political matters; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission desires to subscribe to the Articles
of Incorporation for a non-profit organization of Pinellas Cities which
corporation will forward the interests of all the Cities of Pinellas County
whenever and wherever the need exists for cooperative and joint effort;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CL,EARWATER, FLORIDA,
IN SESSION DULY AND REGULARLY ASSEMBLED, AS
FOLLOWS:
1. That'the City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to
subscribe to the Articles of Incorporation for a non-profit organization of
Pinellas Cities on behalf of the City of Clearwater, Florida.
Z. That a certified copy of this Resolution shall be forwarded forthwith
to Wilson Reed, Mayor of Belleair Bluffs, Florida.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 21st day of October, A. D. 1976.
