RESOLUTION

A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING THE CITY MANAGER AS
CIVIL DEFENSE COORDINATOR FOR THE CITY OF
CLEARWATER AND RECOMMENDING HIS APPOINTMENT
TO THE STAFF OF THE PINELLAS COUNTY CIVIL
DEFENSE DEPARTMENT IN THAT CAPACITY.
WHEREAS, the City Commisslon has determined that consolidation
of civil defense activities with the program of Pinellas County is in the best
interests of the City of Clearwater; and
WHEREAS, since it is desirable that a specific City employee become
a staff member of the Pinellas County Civil Defense Department to better
coordinate and control the program and preparations in the City of Clearwater;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
IN SESSION DULY AND REGULARLY ASSEMBLED, AS
FOLLOWS:
That the City Manager of the City of Clearwater be recommended
for appointment as permanent part time staff member of the Pinellas County
Civil Defense Department, and that this recommendation be forwarded to
the Director of that Department.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 21st day of October, A. D. 1976.
