A RESOLUTION CONGRATULATING THE CLEARWATER
ALL-STAR SOT'TBALL TEAM KNOWN AS THE CON.

FEDERATES IN THEIR TOURNAMENT SUCCESS AND
ENCOURAGING ALL CITIZENS TO CONTRIBUTE TO
THE FUND TO SEND THE TEAM TO THE NATIONAL
??#r TOURNAMENT IN COEUR DIALENE, IDAHO.
WHEREAS, the Clearwater Junior Mies Softball All-Star Team,
known as the Confederates. has just completed a very successful
tournament; and
WHEREAS, having won the metropolitan area tournament, the
team has now become eligible to compete in the national tournament to be
held on August 20, 21 and 22, in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City Commission of the City of
Clearwater to extend congratulations to the "Confederates" upon winning
the tournament and upon becoming eligible to participate in the national
tournaments and
WHEREAS, it appearing that this project is a worthwhile community
project, it is the desire of the City Commission to encourage all citizens
to contribute to the team fund in order that they might participate in the
national tournament;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COM-
MISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATERO FLORIDA, IN
SESSION DULY AND REGULARLY ASSEMBLED, AS FOLLOWS:
1. That the City Commission of the City of Clearwater extends
its congratulations to the Clearwater Sunior Miss Softball Team, known
as the "Confederates" for winning the metropolitan area tournament and '.?
thus becoming eligible to compete in the national tournament to be held
In Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, on August 20, 21 and ZZ, 1976.
2. That the City Commission wishes to encourage all citizens
of the City of Clearwater to contribute to and support the effort being
made to send the team to the national tournament.
