G ??4 ` RESOLUTION NO.' 76 - 71 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY ATTORNEY TO DEFEND THE CITY MANAGER AND ALL OTHER CITY OF CLEARWATER OFFICIALS IN ANY LAWSUIT THAT MIGHT BE FILED BY THE TWO NAMED PARTIES PAUL KANE AND MARY DREW KANE.' WHEREAS, the Office of the City Attorney has been made aware through a distribution in the form of a letter and copy of a complaint that Paul Kane and Mary Drew Kane contemplate a lawsuit against the City Manager and other City of Clearwater Officials; and WHEREAS, the Office of the City Attorney will pursuant to Section. 31of the Charter have to be authorized to defend all City of Clearwater Officials should such a lawsuit be filed; and WHEREAS, from the documentation provided it appears that a lawsuit may be filed; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA, IN SESSION DULY AND REGULARLY ASSEMBLED, AS FOLLOWS:- 1. That the City Attorney is hereby authorized to take any and all action necessary to defend the City Manager and all other City of Clearwater Officials in any lawsuit that might be filed by Paul Kane and Mary Drew Kane.
