No. 76 62
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
AGREEING TO COOPERATE WITH PINELLAS COUNTY IN
THE PREPARATION OF A 201 WASTEWATER TREATMENT
FACILITIES PLAN FOR THE CENTRAL PINELLAS COUNTY
DESIGNATED PLANNING AREA.
WHEREAS, one of the grant conditions for the Northeast Wastewater
Treatment Facilities required by the Environmental Protection Agency and
agreed to by the City of Clearwater was the preparation of a 201 facilities
plan for Central Pinellas County; and
WHEREAS, the cost of the facilities plan will be funded seventy-five
per cent (75%) by the Environmental Protection Agency and twenty-five per
cent (2517/u) by the local jurisdictions; and
WHEREAS, the City of Clearwater is cognizant of the need for adequate
planning for wastewater treatment and facilities;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
IN SESSION REGULARLY AND DULY ASSEMBLED, AS
FOLLOWS:
1. That the City of Clearwater will cooperate in the preparation of
a 201 facilities plan for Central Pinellas County.
2. That the method of payment of the local share of the plan must be
satisfactorily determined by the local jurisdictions.
3. That Pinellas County will be the lead applicant for the facilities plan.
4. That Picot B. Floyd, City Manager, is hereby designated as the
authorized representative of the City of Clearwater.
5. That certified copies of this Resolution shall be sent to the Florida
Department of Environmental Regulations, the U. S. Environmental Protection
Agency, and Pinellas County, Florida.
