No. 76 -rah
A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING THE OFFICIAL DEPOSITORY
OF THE CITY AND DESIGNATING THE PROPER CITY OFFICIALS
TO EXECUTE ALL CHECKS DRAWN AGAINST SAID ACCOUNTS
WHEREAS, it is expedient and financially advantageous to the City to
handle banking transactions of the City through accounts in a single bank to
be designated as the official City of Clearwater depository; and
WHEREAS, a bidding process was conducted to select a single bank
in which to deposit City accounts; and
WHEREAS, the Barnett Bank of Clearwater has been sblected to provide
the services required;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
IN SESSION DULY AND REGULARLY ASSEMBLED, AS
FOLLOWS:
1. That the Barnett Bank of Clearwater, Florida, be, and it is hereby
designated the official depository of this City and that funds so deppsited may
be withdrawn upon all checks, drafts, notes, bills of exchange, acceptances,
undertakings or other orders for the payment of money on the order of the City.
2. That all checks, drafts, notes, or other orders drawn against said
accounts normally shall be signed by the facsimile signature of the following:
A. C. Lowrey, Jr. City Treasurer
AND
Picot B. Floyd City Manager
whose facsimile signatures shall be duly certified to said Bank. If for any
reason manual signatures may be required from time to time, all checks, drafts,
notes, or orders drawn against said Bank shall be signed by:
A. C. Lowrey, Jr.
OR
David H. Curtis
AND
Picot B. Floyd
OR
Gerald B. Weimer

whose signatures shall be duly certified to said Bank. No check, draft, note
or order drawn against said Bank shall be valid unless so signed.
3. That the Barnett Bank of Clearwater, Florida, in hereby authorized
to pay any such checks, drafts, notes of orders, and also to receive the same
for credit of or in payment from the payee or any other holder without inquiry
as to the circumstances of issue or the disposition of proceeds even if drawn
to individual order of any signing officer or tendered in payment of his
individual obligation,
4. That this Resolution shall continue in force in said Bank, and said
Bank may consider the facts concerning the holders of said offices, respectively,
and their signatures to be and continue as set forth herein.
