76-27?«`r?z: x :ai..i.:q?=:1 q:. ?t7?,?r?e.?.;?+ts;? ?}?•I?,..?'!LK?r!y??;;:^ + C i .r :Yl _' RESOLUTION No. 76 . 27 Mayor-Commies r ol?'11:1.1-1- WHEREAS, the City of Clearwater desires to have distinctive guide signs installed directing traffic to Clearwater Beach; and WHEREAS, it is the policy of the Florida Department of Transportao,on to only install such distinctive guide signs when the destination has been officially declared to be a major attraction; and WHEREAS, such designation may take place only after determination by the Department of Transportation that certain criteria are met; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA, IN SESSION DULY AND REGULARLY ASSEMBLED, AS FOLLOWS; 1. That the City of Clearwater hereby officially requests the Florida Department of Transportation to perform the appropriate studies to determine whether Clearwater Beach qualifies to be designated as a major attraction. 2.. That the City of Clearwater agrees to design and install appropriate guide signs upon the determination that Clearwater Beach qualifies as a major attraction. 3. That a certified copy of this Resolution be transmitted forthwith to the Florida Department of Transportation. PASSED AND ADOPTED this 4th day of March , A. D. 1976.
