WHEREAS, suit has been filed in the United States District Court
in and for the Middle District of Florida, styled Church of Scientology of
California vs. Gabriel Cazares, Case No. 76-86-CIV-T-K; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission desires to authorize the Legal
Department to defend said action on behalf of Gabriel Cazares, Mayor-
Commissioner of the City of Clearwater, Florida;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
IN'SESSION DULY AND REGULARLY ASSEMBLED, AS
FOLLOWS:
That the Legal Department is hereby authorized to take any and all
actions necessary to defend Gabriel Cazares, Mayor-Commissioner of the
City of Clearwater, Florida, in the law suit filed in the United States District
Court in and for the Middle District of Florida, styled Church of Scientology
of California vs. Gabriel Cazares, Case No. 76-B6-CIV-T-K.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this I lth day of February, A, D. 1976.
