No. 75 « 137
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City Commission to formulate
a policy which shall apply in selecting the name'of a prominent Clearwater
citizen they wish to honor by naming a street, building or other public
facility after such person,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
IN SESSION REGULARLY AND DULY ASSEMBLED, AS
FOLLOWS:
That the City of Clearwater herebyaiopts the following policy
with respect to providing a name for newly constructed and dedicated
streets, buildings and other public facilities:
1. The selection of a name for a street, building or other public
facility shall be considered from those prominent citizens of the City of
Clearwater who have been deceased for a period of three (3) years prior
to the time that the street, building or other public facility is ready for
dedication.
Z. The City Commission in deciding upon a name for a street,
building or other public facility shall not be limited to considering only
prominent citizens of Clearwater.
