WHEREAS, Pinellas County has included in its 1975-76 budget the
relocation of utilities only on Hercules Avenue from Drew Street north to
the-Seaboard Coast Line Railroad and-has not included the widening and
repaving of this portion of Hercules Avenue; and
WHEREAS, the City of Clearwater believes conditions exist warranting
inclusion of this widening and repaving in this budget year; those conditions
being the heavy traffic in the area, the deteriorated condition of the road and
the bad drainage problem in the area, all of which constitutes a safety and
health hazard;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
IN SESSION REGULARLY AND DULY ASSEMBLED, AS
FOLLOWS:
1. That the City Commission of the City of Clearwater hereby officially
urges the Pinellas County Commission to provide in its 1975-76 budget for
the widening and repaving of Hercules Avenue from Drew Street North to the
Seaboard Coast Line Railroad because of the heavy traffic in the area, the
deteriorated condition of the road and the bad drainage problem in the area
which constitutes a safety and health hazard to the citizens of the City of
Clearwater.
2. That a certified copy of this Resolution be forwarded forthwith
to the Pinellas County Commission and to the Pinellas County Administrator.
