RESOLUTION
No. 75 - 82
WHEREAS, the Pinellas County Historical Museum is now located
in the City of Clearwater in a central location for Pinellas County; and
WHEREAS, the Historical Museum is an educational and worthwhile
project and beneficial to the citizens of Pinellas County; and '
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Pinellas, County
is discussing the relocation of the Historical Museum and the City of
Clearwater desires to officially request that the Museum be retained in
Clearwater;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
IN SESSION REGULARLY AND DULY ASSEMBLED, AS
FOLLOWS:
1. That the City of Clearwater hereby. officially requests the, Board
of County Commissioners of Pinellas County to retain the Pinellas County' .
Historical Museum in the City of Clearwater because such an educational
and beneficial display should be in a central location within Pinellas County
and readily available to all the citizens of said County.
2. That a certified copy of this Resolution be forwarded forthwith
to the Board of County Commissioners of Pinellas County, 315 Haven Street,
Cleaxwater, Florida 33516.
