RESOLUTION
No, 75 - 78
WHEREAS, the Charter Study Committee which was appointed by
the City Commission to prepare a proposed now Charter for the City of
Clearwater, has now completed its work; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission desires to accept this prolin-inary
draft for consideration by it and the citizens of Clearwater; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission appreciates the many hours of
time spent by the members of the Charter Study Committee on this
complicated and time-consuming endeavor and desires to commend the
members for their untiring efforts;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
IN SESSION DULY AND REGULARLY ASSEMBLED, AS
FOLLOWS:
1. That the City Commission hereby accepts the preliminary
draft of the proposed new Charter for the City of Clearwater which has
been prepared by the Charter Study Committee and hereby commends
the members of said Committee for their many hours of work and study,
and for their unselfish contribution of time and energy to complete this
project.
2. That a duplicate original of this Resolution be transmitted
forthwith to each member of the Charter Study Committee as a token of
appreciation from the City of Clearwater.
