RESOLUTION
No. 73 - 57
WHEREAS, the City of Clearwater has established an appropriate
modal to be awarded by it to persons who have rendered outstanding
service to Lhe City of Clearwater; and
WHEREAS, Charles A. Finton has worked untiringly and given
unselfishly of his time and energy for the betterment of the City of
Clearwater; and
WHEREAS, Charles A. Finton has been the "watchdog" of the
City Commission and always put the interests of the citizens of Clearwater
first and uppermost; and
WHEREAS, it is our dealre to award the Clearwater Medal to
Charles A. Finton for his years of faithful service to our community,
cad to designate him a Honorary Member of the City Commission;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
IN SESSION DULY AND REGULARLY ASSEMBLED, AS
FOLLOWS,
1. That the City of Clearwater, Florida, officially recognises
and expresses its appreciation to Charles A. Finton for his outstanding
public service and his continued interest in civic affairs and hereby
awards to him the City of Clearwater Medal for his service as aforesaid.
2. That the City of Clearwater, Florida, hereby designates
said Charles A. Finton as a Honorary Member of the City Commission.
3. That a duplicate original of this Resolution shall be presented
to said Charles A. Vinton.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 21st day of April, A. D. 1975.
