RESOLUTION
No. 75 •• 48
WHEREAS, the Florida Department of Transportation has requested
the concurrence of the City of Clearwater to amend the special regulations
now imposed on the operation of the Clearwater Bridge; and
WHEREAS, the City of Clearwater feels that this amendment will
provide a means for minimizing disruption to the flow of vehicular traffic
across the bridge without unreasonable restriction to the passage of water'-borne
vessels; and
WHEREAS, the City of Clearwater desires to officially approve the
amendment to the special regulations and to request the Coast Guard to implement
these special regulations;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
IN SESSION REGULARLY AND DULY ASSEMBLED, AS
FOLLOWS:
1. The City Commission hereby officially approves the amendment to
the special regulations on the operation of the Clearwater Bridge to be as follows:
"The draw shall be opened promptly on signal except that:
(1) From 6:00 A. M. to 6:00 P. M. on Saturdays, Sundays,
and legal holidays the draw need not be opened except on the
hour and half hour. (Z) From 7:00 A. M. to 9:00 A. M. and
4:00 P. M. to 6:00 P. M. on Monday through Friday the draw
need not be opened except on the hour and half hour. "
Z. A certified copy shall be transmitted forthwith to the Florida
Department of Transportation and a certified copy shall be furnished for
submission with the request for such change to the Coast Guard.
