No, 75 - 32
WHEREAS, the recently enacted Housing & Community Development
Act of 1974 provides Federal Block Grant Funds to designated cities and
counties; and
WHEREAS, the City of Clearwater could receive such funds which would
be spent in low and moderate income areas of Clearwater in varied projects; and
WHEREAS, the City has examined and duly considered such Act and
considers it to be in the public interest and to its benefit to proceed thereunder;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
IN SESSION REGULARLY AND DULY ASSEMBLED, AS
FOLLOWS:
1. That Picot B. Floyd, City Manager, be hereby authorized to
file in behalf of the City an application under the Housing & Community
Development Act of 1974 for the funding of $209, 000.
2. That said Picot B. Floyd, City Manager, is hereby authorized
to furnish such information and take such other action as may be necessary
to enable the City to qualify for said grant.
3. That said Picot B. Floyd, City Manager, is hereby designated
as the authorized representative of the City for the purpose of furnishing
such information, data and documents pertaining to the application for said
grant as may be required and otherwise to act as the authorized representa-
tive of the City and to maintain such records necessary to support the
implementation of the said project.
4. That the City Commission understands the assurances as indicated
on HUD Form 7015. 12 (11-74) and agrees to comp therewith.
