the residents of this area, the Pinellas County Board of County Commissioners,

a as Grantor and Prime Sponsor, and the City of Clearwater, Florida, as Subgrantee,
desire to operate a CETA Title VI Eknergency Jobs Program in accordance

with the regulations and policies promulgated under the Comprehensive
Employment and Training Act of 1973; and
WHEREAS, the City has examined and duly considered such Act and
considers it to be in the public interest and to its benefit to proceed thereunder;
ray; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
IN SESSION REGULARLY AND DULY ASSEMBLED, AS
zt' , FOLLOWS:
1. That Picot B. Floyd, City Manager, be hereby authorized to file
in behalf of the City an application under the Comprehensive Employment and
Training Act of 1973, for the operation of a CETA Title VI Emergency Jobs
Program, including all understandings and assurances contained therein,
for a grant to assist in such project.
2. That said Picot B. Floyd, City Manager, is hereby authorized to
furnish such information and take such other action as may be necessary to
enable the City to qualify for said grant.
3. That said Picot B. Floyd, City Manager, is hereby designated as
the authorized representative of the City for the purpose of furnishing such
information, data and documents pertaining to the application for said grant as
maybe required and otherwise to act as the authorized representative of the
City and to maintain such records necessary to support the implementation of
the said project.
