WHEREAS, Harry Popper & Associates, Inc, has filed suit in the
Circuit Court of the Sixth Judicial Circuit of the State of Florida in and for
Pinellas County, Circuit Civil No. 75-1016-7, against the Commissions re
of the City of Clearwater and the City of Clearwater; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary that this suit be defended by the Legal
Department of the City and authority be given to proceed in the defense of
the suit by whatever action is deemed necessary and expedient;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
IN SESSION DULY AND REGULARLY ASSEMBLED, AS
FOLLOWS:
1. That the City Attorney is hereby authorized to defend the suit filed
in the Circuit Court of the Sixth Judicial Circuit of the State of Florida in and
for Pinellas County, Circuit Civil No. 75-1016-7, by Harry Pepper & Associates,
Inc. against the Commissioners of the City of Clearwater and the City of
Clearwater, and to proceed with such defense and prosecute any cross-
claims seeking damages and court costs by whatever action may be deemed
necessary and expedient.
2. That the same authorization is hereby extended to any other actions
in this or other jurisdictions filed by Harry Pepper & Associates, Inc.
on the same or related subject matter.
