RESOLUTION No. 75 - 10 WHEREAS, the Congressional Act which created general revenue sharing expires on December 31, 1976; and WHEREAS, the continuation of said general revenue sharing cannot be assumed; and WHEREAS, the discontinuation of general revenue sharing will result in dire economic and social consequences and further remove the decision, making process from the citizens; and .. WHEREAS, the 94th United States Congress will consider the reinstatement of general revenue sharing in 1975; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA, IN SESSION REGULARLY AND DULY ASSEMBLED, AS FOLLOWS: 1. That the City of Clearwater hereby officially urges the United States Congress to act favorably an the reinstatement of general revenue sharing at this session of Congress in order to continue this vital assistance to our economic and social needs. 2. That a certified copy of this Resolution be forwarded forthwith to each of our Senators from Florida and to the Congressmen representing our State. PASSED AND ADOPTED this 6th da// *January, A.
