RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, Article V of the Constitution of the State of Florida provides
for the consolidation of all municipal courts into the County Court System no
later than January 3, 1977; and
WHEREAS, Pinellas County ha's adopted an administrative plan to
phase the process of accepting all municipal courts and it would be more
convenient in conformance with said plan to convert the City of Clearwater
Municipal Court on October 1, 1975; and
WHEREAS, Section 34. 19Z, Florida Statutes, provides the procedure
for conversion of municipal courts prior to January 3, 1977, and one of the
requirements calls for notification of intent of such conversion one hundred
twenty (120) days prior to the beginning of the next regular session of the
Legislature; and
. WHEREAS, failing to find a substantive reason not to cooperate with
Pinellas County in their administrative plan;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY" THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
IN SESSION DULY AND REGULARLY ASSEMBLED, AS
FOLLOWS:
1. That the City of Clearwater hereby gives official notice of its
intention to adopt an ordinance abolishing its municipal court effective October
1, 1975.
2. That a certified copy of this Resolution be transmitted forthwith
to the Chief Judge of the Sixth Judicial Ci=cuit in compliance with Section
34, 192 (3), Florida Statutes.
