WHEREAS, suit has been filed In the Circuit Court for Pinellas
County, Florida, styled as Pinellas County Planning Council and Pinellas
County, a political subdivision of the State of Florida; Petitioners vs,
Town of Belleair, City of Belleair Beach, City of Belleair Bluffs, Town of
Belleair Shore, City of Clearwater, City of Dunedin, City of Gulfport, City of
Indian Rocks Beach, Town of Indian Shores, Town of Kenneth City, City of
Largo, City of Madeira Beach', Town of North Redington Beach, City of Oldsmar,
City of Pinellas Park, Town of Redington Beach, Town of Redington Shores,
City of Safety Harbor, City of St. Petersburg, City of St. Petersburg Beach,
City of Seminole, City of South Pasadena, City of Tarpon Springs, City of
Treasure Island, School Board of Pinellas County, Florida, Tampa Bay
Regional Planning Council, State of Florida Department of Administration
Division of State Planning, Respondents, being Circuit Civil 74..5471-7; and
WHEREAS, it is desired to authorize the Legal Department to undertake
the defense of said suit and to authorize the payment of all costs for such
defense;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
IN SESSION REGULARLY AND DULY ASSEMBLED, AS
FOLLOWS:
That the Legal Department is hereby authorized to undertake the
defense of the suit filed in the Circuit Court for Pinellas County, Florida, styled
as Pinellas County Planning Council, et al vs. Town of Belleair, et al, being
Circuit Civil 74-5071-7, and that the payment of all costs in the defense of said
suit is hereby authorized, '
