'.r:. .. ,.?.'7: tk°._ ?,.,..?.<.?F?'i.'t?;?ke.vk.>;-.i?..•ir13? 1 RESOLUTION No. 74 - 110 WHEREAS, the City of Clearwater, Florida, and Pinellas County, Florida, entered into an agreement on the 29th day of March, 1954, concerning the sale .of potable water to the City of Clearwater for a'period of thirty (30) years; and WHEREAS, the agreement provided that the City pay tar four million gallons of water per day whether the City used it or not; and WHEREAS, the said contract provides that in considering any rate or rate adjustments some of the factors to be considered will be those matters directly relating to supplying water to the City of Clearwater and on the basic premises that the County water system shall be operated in the future, as it is presently, at cost; and WHEREAS, the County has raised the rates to the City from time to, time in accordance with their requirements for operating the system at cost; and WHEREAS, on June 1, 1974, the rate was increased to 0.452 per thousand gallons which represents an increase in excess of 20076 while charging its retail customers at a rate of 0. 35? per thousand gallons; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA, IN SESSION DULY AND REGULARLY ASSEMBLED, AS FOLLOWS: 1, That the City of Clearwater has been informed by its consultants that the aforesaid rate, to wit. 0.452¢ per thousand gallons, is excessive and unfair. 2. That the City Manager and his staff be directed to confer with Pinellas County and/or its duly authorized representatives to seek a lower and equitable rate. -1- Res,o.. #741.118 .;; 11?? That certified copies of this Resolution be forwarded forthwith to the Chairman and each member of the Board of County Commissioners of..
