RESOLUTION
No. 74 - 61
WHEREAS, "the need for a replacement hospital at Bay Pines
in order to provide up-to-date care for America's veterans is a continuing
and pressing one; and
WHEREAS, Congressman C. W. "Bill" Young is holding a public
hearing on May 31, 1974, to lend support to the need for a new hospital and
the urgency for providing same; and
WHEREAS, the City of Clearwater desires to officially support all of
Congressman Young's efforts to obtain a new facility for this area;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
IN SESSION DULY AND REGULARLY ASSEMBLED, AS
FOLLOWS:
1. That the City of Clearwater hereby officially gives its full support
to a replacement hospital at Bay Pines, acknowledging the necessity to provide
the very best and most up-to-date care for America's veterans.
z. That a certified copy of this Resolution be transmitted forthwith
to Congressman C. W. "Bill" Young for presentation at the said public hearing
on May 31, 1974.
