RESOLUTION
No. 74 ..49
WHEREAS, the City of Clearwater, Florida, has received requests
from many of its citizens that the City request the Florida Department of
Transportation to make a feasibility survey relative to the installation of a
traffic signal at Bayview Boulevard and State Road 60 (Gulf to Bay Boulevard)
(Sec. 15040, Mile Post 5, 477) in the City of Clearwater; and
WHEREAS, said traffic signal is deemed to be necessary because of
the heavy influx of traffic in this area; and
WHEREAS, the City of Clearwater is willing to purchase, install and
maintain this signal if the same is found to be warranted after a study by the
Florida Department of Transportation;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
IN SESSION DULY AND REGULARLY ASSEMBLED, AS
FOLLOWS:
1. That the Florida Department of Transportation is hereby officially
requested to conduct a study as to the feasibility of installing a traffic signal
at the intersection of Bayview Boulevard and State Road 60 (Gulf to Bay
Boulevard) (Sec. 15040, Mile Post 5.477).
2. That the City of Clearwater will purchase, install and maintain
said signal if the same is found to be warranted after such study,
3. That a certified copy of this Resolution shall be forwarded
forthwith to the Department of Transportation, tow, Florida.
