74-42 I `":1111; RESOLUTION No. 74 42 + WHEREAS, it has been brought to the attention of the City Commission of the City of Clearwater that Representative Roger H. Wilson has introduced a bill in the 1974 Session of the Florida State Legislature relating to Pinellas County requiring that as a condition precedent to the approval or recordation of any plats of land of forty acres or more of residential lots, that I/ 10th of the gross area be reserved for school purposes; and WHEREAS, the City of Clearwater feels that this bill would work for the betterment of our community and desires to go on record in support of same; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA, IN SESSION DULY AND REGULARLY ASSEMBLED, AS FOLLOWS: 1. That the City of Clearwater hereby officially endorses and urges passage of the proposed bill relating to Pinellas County requiring that as a condition precedent to the approval or recordation of any plats of land of forty acres or more of residential lots, that 1/10th of the gross area be reserved for school purposes. 2. That copies of this Resolution be forwarded forthwith to the Pinellas I County Legislative Delegation, the Pinellas County Board of County Commissioners, and to the School Board of Pinellas County, Florida.
