All WHEREAS, the ad valorem real property tax bills are sent out to
property owners showing the total amount of taxes due but with no breakdown
as to the proportion allocated to Pinellas County, munic:ipalitiee, the School
Board or to other miscellaneous items; and
WHEREAS, the individual taxpayer should be able to ascertain easily
on looking at his tax bill exactly which agencies are getting what portion of
his tax dollar; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission desires to request the governmental
agencies involved in preparing and sending out such tax bills to investigate
this matter and act favorably upon this reque at;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLQRLDA,
IN SESSION DULY AND REGULARLY ASSEMBLED, AS
FOLLOWS:
1, That the City Commission hereby requests all. governmental agencies
involved in the preparing and sending out the ad valorem real property tax bills
to all property owners to include a breakdown of the total tax due to show the
proportion to be paid to the County, any municipality, the School Board and any
other miscellaneous tax in order that the taxpayer inay easily ascertain what
portion of his tax dollar each agency is receiving.
2. That a certified copy of this Resolution be sent forthwith to the
Pinellas County Board of County Commissioners, the Pinellas County Tax
Assessor, Governor Reuben Askew of the State of Florida, and the Florida
Department of Revenue.
