RESOLUTION
No. 74 .. q
WHEREAS, the City of Clearwater is proposing to construct a jetty
on Sand Key in Clearwater Pass; {end
WHEREAS, in order to complete this project, it is necessary to
perform certain dredging and filling on sovereignty lands, for which permission
is required from the Board of Trustees of the Internal Improvement. Fund of
the State of Florida; and
WHEREAS, the City of Clearwater desires to request the State of
Florida to waive all fees related to said proposed dredging and fill project;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF TIME CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
IN SESSION DULY AND REGULARLY ASSEMBLED, AS
FOLLOWS:
1. That the City Commission of the City of Clearwater hereby
officially requests the Board of Trustees of the Internal Improvement.Fund
of the State of Florida to walve all fees related to the proposed dredging in
Clearwater Pass and the proposed fill South of the Clearwater Pass Setty.
2. That the City Cornmiesion of the City of Clearwater further requests
permission to place dredge material on State submerged lands in order to
create a public recreation facility.
3. That a certified copy of this Resolution shall be forwarded forthwith
to the Board of Trustees of the Internal Improvement Fund of the State of
Florida, Tallahassee, Florida.
