RESOLUTION
No. 73 - 83
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 828 empowers the City Commission to
fix natural gas rates by resolution; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission, after proper notice, held a public
hearing on June 18, 1973 upon the recommendations of the City of Clearwater
Utilities Department to establish new rates for the sale of natural gas; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission deems it necessary and advisable to
establish such new gas rates effective as of the passage of this Resolution;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
IN SESSION DULY AND REGULARLY ASSEMBLED. AS
FOLLOWS:
1. That the following rates to be charged for natural gas are hereby
established:
Schedule A - General Service Rate:
This rate is available to all customers, providing said customers
are adjacent to the City mains and where the City has sufficient
supply of gas.
Natural gas containing not less than 1, 000 BTU per 100 cu. ft.:
First 3 therms or less $2.50
Next 7 therms .30
Next 10 therms .26
Next 20 therms .22
Next 30 therms .21
Next 230 therms .18
Next 300 therms .17
All over 600 therms . 16
Minimum monthly bill 2'.50
Schedule B - Air-Conditioning Rates:
These rates are available on a year)-round basis to all buildings
or premises using gas for air-conditioning purposes, either by
using combination cooling-heating' equipment or cooling only
equipment, but shall not be available to premises not having
air cooling equipment, and shall be subject to the provisions
set forth hereunder:
(a) Residential
Where all gas used on the premises is measured through
a single meter, the rate for gas containing not less than
1, 000 BTU per cubic foot shall be:

Minimum Monthly Bill $6.00
Schedule D - Volume Water Heating and Small Industrial Rates:
This rate is available for volume water heating and small
industrial consumers, providing said service is separately
metered and that said service is adjacent to the City mains
and where the City has sufficient supply of gas.
Natural gas containing not less than 1, 000 BTU per 100 cu. ft.:
First 527 therms or less $65.00
Next 1473 therms .13
All over 2000 therms .12
Minimum Monthly Bill $65.00
Purchased Gas Cost Adjustment
The charges specified in the above achedules shall be subject, to
an adjustment per therm for increases or decreases in the
supplier's rate for purchased gas in accordance with the pro-
visions of the purchased gas cost adjustment in the Cityls
tariff.
2. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its passage.
