A RESOLUTION CALLING A SPECIAL REFERENDUM
ELECTION TO BE HELD ON JULY 10, 1973, IN THE
AREA OF CLEARDUN SUBDIVISION AND KNIGHT'S
ACRES, ON THE QUESTION OF THE APPROVAL OF
THE ANNEXATION OF SAID PROPERTY INTO THE
„ CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER,
FLORIDA, AND ESTABLISHING THE ZONING USE
DISTRICT CLASSIFICATIONS AND THE FIRE DISTRICT
CLASSIFICATIONS FOR SAID PROPERTY AND PRO-
VIDING FOR THE MANNER OF CONDUCTING SAID
ELECTION.

WHEREAS, the City of Clearwater, Florida, acting by and through its
City Commission, has passed Ordinance No. 1454 which declares its intention
to annex into the corporate limits of the City of Clearwater, Florida, and to
establish the zoning use district classifications and the fire district classifications
for the following described areas lying contiguous to the territorial limits of
said City, such annexations to be by referendum vote of the freeholders and
electors in the area in accordance with the provisions of the Charter of the
City of Clearwater, Florida:
Lots I to 4, inclusive, and Lots 23 to 34, inclusive, and
East 40 feet of Lot 35, Block B, and Lots 5 to 18, inclusive,
Block C, Cleardun Subdivision, as recorded in Plat Book 13,
page 47 of the Public Records of Pinellas County, Florida,
together with all streets, rights-of-way, all public easements
contained therein or contiguous or abutting thereto.
The above described property is hereby zoned "RS-60"
(Single Family Residential District) and designated Fire
District No. 2.
AND
South 32. 6 feet of Lot 18 and Lots 19 to 30, inclusive, Knight's
Acres as recorded in Plat Book 11, page 67 of the Public
Records of Pinellas County, Florida, together with all streets,
rights-of-way, all public easements contained therein or
contiguous or abutting thereto.
The above described property is hereby zoned 'IRS-60"
(Single Family Residential District) and designated Fire
District No. 2;

WHEREAS, the City Commission desires to hold a Special Referendum
Election on the question of the approval of such annexations of said property;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
IN SESSION DULY AND REGULARLY ASSEMBLED, AS
FOLLOWS:
1. A Special Referendum, Election shall be held in the area of Cleardun
Subdivision and Knight's Acres, between the hours of 7:00 A, M. and 7:00 P.M.
on Tuesday, July 10, 1973, for the purpose of voting on the following:
Do you approve Ordinance No. 1454, providing for the
annexation of the following described property:
Lots 1 to 4, inclusive, and Lots 23 to 34, inclusive, and
East 40 feet of Lot 35, Block B, and Lots 5 to 18, inclusive,
Block C, Cleardun Subdivision, as recorded in Plat Book 13,
page 47 of the Public Records of Pinellas County, Florida,
together with all streets, rights-of-way, all public easements
contained therein or contiguous or abutting thereto, and
establishing zoning as "RS-60" (Single Family Residential
District) and designating it in Fire District No. Z; AND
South 32. 6 feet of Lot 18 and Lots 19 to 30, inclusive,
Knight's Acres as recorded in Plat Book 11, page 67 of the
Public Records of Pinellas County, Florida, together with
all streets, rights-of-way, all public easements contained
therein or contiguous or abutting thereto, and establishing
zoning as "RS-60" (Single Family Residential District)
and designating it in Fire District No. Z7
Z. All registered electors and freeholders who are residents within
the areas to be annexed shall be eligible to vote at said election.
3. Notice of said election shall bo given by publication in a newspaper
published and of general circulation in the City of Clearwater, once a week
for the four (4) weeks immediately preceding said election.
4. The City Clerk is hereby instructed to prepare the ballot to be used
in said election and to do all things necessary and proper as required by law
in the management and conduct of said election.
