RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, Pinellas County is presently developing an up-to-date
Comprehensive Plan; and
WHEREAS, the City of Clearwater wishes to encourage the County to
rezone those commercial and medium' and high density properties adjacent
to the Clearwater City Limits into an RPD 5 (holding zone), which rezoning
is in conformance with the proposed Comprehensive Plan; and
WHEREAS, such rezoning would correspond with the City of Clearwater's
low density proposals in the peripheral areas;
NOW, THEREFORE,, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
IN SESSION REGULARLY AND DULY ASSEMBLED, AS
FOLLOWS:
1. That the City of Clearwater hereby officially urges Pinellas
County to rezone those commercial and medium and high density properties
adjacent to the Clearwater City Limits into an RPD 5 (holding zone) in accordance
with the proposed Pinellas County Comprehensive Plan.
2. That a certified copy of this Resolution be transmitted forthwith
to the Pinellas County Board of County Commissioners.
