RESOLUTION
No. 7Z - 136
WHEREAS, tho City Commission finds that it is essential that
Druid Road (County Road 28) be extended Eastward Crom Belchor Road to
interscct with U. S. 19 within the City oC Clearwater; and
WHEREAS, thie extension is esscntial and necessary in order to
facilitate the flow of traCfic which is increasing daily in this area of the City;
and
WHEREAS, in order to accomplish this extension, it is necessary to
acquire certain additional right of way for said Druid Road extension: and
WHEREAS, the City is desirous of requesting the Board of County
Commissioners of Pinellas County, Florida, to acquire said additional right
of way and to place said acquisition at the top of its priority list of projects;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
IN SESSION DULY AND REGULARLY ASSEMBLED, AS
FOLLOWS:
1. That the City of Clearwater hereby officially requests the Board
of County Commissioners of Pinellas County, Florida, to acquire all of the
additional necessary right of way for the extension of Druid Road (County Road
28) Eastward from Belcher Road to inters ed with U. S. 19, and to place said
acquisition at the top of its priority list of projects.
2. That a certified copy of this Resolution be transmitted forthwith to
the Board of County Commissioners of Pinellas County, Florida.
