WHEREAS, tho City Commholon or tho City or Clearwater has,
arter prop'or public notico and public hearings, approved cortain changes
and amendmentB to tho zoning ordinance or the City of Clearwater; and
WHEREAS, certain of the said changes and amendments to the zoning
ordinance decreased the maximum unit density construction allowed ror hotels
and motels in certain use districts by Ordinance No. 1394; and
WHEREAS, the City or Clearwater is desirous or permitting those
property owners whose projects were already being plannod based on the hotel
anti motel unit density construction as allowed prior to said amendment, the
opportunity to complet.a their projecta under said original density limitations;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEAR W.A TER, FLORID~,
~ SESSION DULY AND REGULARLY ASSEMBLED, AS
FOLLOWS:
That the City Commission does hereby instruct the Building Department
of the City of Clearwater to accept within a. period of thirty (30) days from
the date of thia Resolution, from a property owner or his authorized
representative, whose projects are presently in the planning ntage a letier of
intent, together with a proposed plot plan, setting forth said proposed project,
permitting hotel and motel unit density construction in accordance with the
zoning ordinance density requirements before amendnumt thereof by Ordinance
No. 1394. Said developer or his authorized representative must alGa apply for
and receive a. foundation building permit for such project within one hundred
twenty (120) days from the date of this Resolution or such exception shall be
void.
