A RESOLUTION THAT ALL PRIVATE SEWAGE
TREATMENT PLANTS THAT EXIST OR MAY BE
CREATED IN PINELLA5 COUNTY BE APPROVED
BY TAMPA BAY REGIONAL PLANNING COUNCIL
AND DEDICATED TO SEWAGE DISTRICT TO SE
CREATED WITHOUT COSTS TO GOVERNMENT
WHEREAS, the City of St. Petersburg and the Pinellas County
Board of County Commissioners jointly sponsored an all-day Seminar on
Wastewater Management on April 19, 1972, at Bayfront Center, during
which all-day session it was determined ways and means must be provided
to assure that the sewage systems proposed by the Interim Waste Water
Treatment Plan through 1980 of the Tampa Bay Regional Planning Council
can be developed to thus replace many independent small public and private
sewage systems within the territory of each of the various sewage service
areas of said Plan; and
WHEREAS, this Seminar did result in a Resolution by a panel of
electr:d officials representing the County Government and municipalities with-
in Pinellas County, urging that the construction of ail sewage treatment plants
or their expansion and improvement be subject to approval of the Tampa Bay
Regional Planning Council, and that any such system not in accord with
the sewage system areas to become formal Districts be required to be ded-
icated free of charge to that unit of local government assigned by said Plan
responsibility for provision of sewage system to the particular geographic
area involved, and that the eventual displacement of such short-termed fac-
ilities be without costs to government with the owner or government involved
paying whatever charges are necessary for extension and connection to that
system as proposed by the Plan;

COMML55ION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER,
FLORIDA, IN SESSION DULY AND REGULARLY
ASSEMBLED, AS FOLLOWS.
