WHEREAS, The Tampa Bay Regional Planning Council did ~,f~yti;Y;"„~;
on April 21, 1872, by their Resolution No. 72-14, adopt the Interim Waste
Water Treatment Plan through 1980 as prepared by ite staff, and
WHEREAS, such Plan stipulates and delineates Sewer Service
Areas in which the City of Clearwater, Florida, would be held responsible
by State and Federal agencies for provision of sewer service;>, and
WHEREAS, The Tampa Bay Regional Planning Council in
regular quarterly session on April 21, 1972, did adopt a Resolution to
prepare and seek passage of legislation that would create Districts of
these Sewer Service Areas, whereby the local government having such
territories assigned to it would be able to provide sewer service through
charges and assessments and would further have the authority to exercise
control over growth of such areas in order to protect its investmentR in
such sewer systems,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE YT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER,
FLORIDA, iN SESSION DULY AND REGULARLY
ASSEMBLED, A5 FOLLOWS:
That the City Commission of the City of Clearwater, Florida,
endorses the establishment of such Sewer Service Districts with the
above enumerated responsibilities, powers, and duties, and that such
Districts be created in most expeditious manner.
