WHEREAS, tho C{ty of Clearwater is a municipality legally
chartered pursuant to Chapter 8710, Special Acts of Florida, 1923. which
became a law on July ?, 1923; and
WHEREAS, the City of Clearwater desires to participate in the
15% Portion of the Land Acquisition Trust Fund for the expansion and further
development of the Clearwater Artificial Reef; and
WHEREAS, the proposed improvements to the Clearwater
Artificial Reef will be of recreation benefit to small boat fishermen and
skin divers as well as provide scientific data on the techniques of building
artificial reefs and thereby aid other coastal communities in this endeavor:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMM[SSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
IN SESSION DULY AND REGULARLY ASSEMBLED, A5
FOLLOWS:
1.. The City Comrniesion of the City of Clearwater, Florida, does hereby
designate M. R. Stierheim, Gity Manager, as tkie liaison agent with the
State of Florida on all matters concerning the participation of Clearwater
in the I5°jo Portion of the Land Acquisition Trust Fund.
2. The City of Clearwater agrees to cooperate with the State of Florida
in all manors related to the regulations governing the use of this Trust
Fund.
