WHEREAS, it has coma to the attention of the City Commission, '
attar a survey by the Traffic Engineer, that due to tho increased traffic
volume on Fort Harrison Avenue within the limits of the City of Cleaxwater
that parking should be removed between Pinellas Street and Drew Street
and that cextain other traffic changes should be made; and
WHEREAS, the City ComiTtisaion desires to request the Department
of Transportation of the State of Florida to approve these necessary traffic

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
1N SESSION DULY AND REGULARLY ASSEMBLED, AS
FOLLOWS:
1. That the City of Clearwater hereby requests the Department of
Transportation to approve the following traffic changes on Fort Harrison
Avenue, within the City limits of the City of Clearwatex:
a. To remove all parking on Foxt Harrison Avenue between
Pinellas Street and Drew Street and install center lines and
lane lines making Fort Harrison four (4) lanes.
b, To install overhead signs designating the left lane for left
turn only in both directions on Fort Harrison at Cleveland
Street with the curb lanes being for straight and right turning
traffic.
c. To remove the cuxrent lane assignment signs in the area of
Court Street,
d. To re-design the signal at Court Stxoet, Haven Street and Fort
Harrison Avenue to eliminate the !'through lane".
e. To prohibit Southbound left turns into Haven Street and Court
Street andpxovide an axrow for the left turn at Chestnut Street.
f. To prohibit Northbound left turns at Chestnut Street, allowing
#hem to be made at Haven Street on the existing left turn arrow.
g. To designate the left lane Northbound at Drew Street to be for
left turns only,
h. To permit truck loading only duxing the hours between 7 A.M. and
