RESOLUTION
No. 7z ~ '53
WHEREAS, the City Commission has officially adopted the Clearwater,
Florida, Comprehensive Plan, completed in June, 197Q, and as amended; and
WHEREAS, said Compxehensive Plan shall be used as the official
guideline in considering all requests for annexation and zoning and rezoning;
NOW, THEREFORE. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
IN SESSION DULX' AND REGULARLY ASSEMBLED, AS
FOLLOWS:
It is hereby declared to be the official policy of the City Commission
that all xequeats for annexation and zoning and rezoning shall be referred to the
Planning and Zoning Board far pxoceasing and public hearing, and that the
Planning and Zoning Board shall use the Compxehensive Plan as a guideline,
togethex with proper planning principles, standards and Criteria in formulating
its recommendations to the City Commission; however, applications for
vaxiatian of ten per cent (10%a) from Comprehensive Plan density standards
shall be discouxaged,
