has been a long sought goal of the City of Clearwater for the past fifteen (l5)
years; and
WHEREAS, many plans have been developed to achieve this objective;
and
WHEREAS, the Clearwater City Commission feels that the proposed
plan will mast effectively connect the two thoroughfares without offering damage
to the ecology of Cleaxwater Bay; and
WHEREAS, the proposed road extension will complement the Pinellas
County Governmental Complex and improve traffic circulation around this
important public facslity; and
WHEREAS, the construction of the road extension as proposed will
afford the public a magnigicent view of Clearwater Bay;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
IN SESSION DULY AND REGULARLY ASSEMBLED, AS
FOLLOWS:
1. That the City Commission of the City of Clearwater, Florida,
hereby formally endorses the proposed corridor for the extension of Pierce
Boulevard, which for purposes of this resolution only would currently be
designated as Waterfront Boulevard, as designated on the attached map.
